Is it worth $599?

Here’s my video review of the Alen Air A375UV air purifier. The video is followed by some notes I have made about this model. Many people wonder about the price tag of $599 on it.

The A375UV is the same as the A350 except now they have added UV light, in fact 2 UV bulbs and Tio2 (titanium dioxide) which makes the Uv more effective. The Replacement bulbs run expensive at $59 and need to be replaced every 6 months.

When it comes to the Warranty on it - WATCH OUT! The “Lifetime Warranty” is only available if you purchase the replacement filters on “Auto-ship” every 6 months, even if you don’t need to:

“Alen warrants your Alen Air Purifier to be free from defects in material or workmanship for as long as you own your air purifier. Buyers must register and Participate in the Filter Replacement Program. Two replacement HEPA filters are shipped to you every year on your registration anniversary for as long as you own your machine.”The HEPA filter is $59 every 6 months”

I like the added technology and features, but the pricetag for a medium sized air purifier is a bit much.

You can see how the Alen Air A375UV purifier is a very profitable air purifier just for the replacement filters alone.
